A gentle driveway winds down to a welcoming auto court and landscaped entry. The building bench affords open and elevated views to the south and east from the main residence, while a courtyard and guest studio are carved into the hillside.

A balance of light, exposure, and enclosure are experienced throughout. Photovoltaic and Thermal solar systems and storm water catchment led to local awards for energy and water efficiency.
